JobDescription:Tax and Trade Payables Accountant

JobSummary/Objective:

To proactively manage the Tax and Trade Payable process, including the timely and accurate processing and payment of all compliant and approved creditor invoices.

Responsibilities&duties:

Computeand file corporate income taxes, statutory taxes as per regulatory Ensurethat income and expenditure are processed strictly as per the tax

Process Accounts Payable invoices on a weekly basis, in line with business rules, including:

Receiving invoices via email, physically and assessing for legibility and validityMatching invoices to requisitions / orders Enter matched invoices accurately into Runa report of all invoices due for payment weekly, for Upload payment files into the banking system for Reconcile all mobile money payments Resolve EFT / Mobile money Process foreign currency Process credit notes and match to supplier Perform weekly and monthly supplier Track and process approved employee expense Maintain supplier master Ensure timely response to supplier Prepare analyses of accounts and produce weekly and monthly Drive continuous improvement across the Accounts Payable

Skills/Attributes required:

Experience with QuickBooks a must Strong understanding of Finance systems and processesExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsProactive,highly motivated and flexibleHighly organized and attention to detailStrong data entry skillsExperienced with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Qualifications/Experience required:

Bachelor’sdegree preferably Business Administration, Accountancy or 3- 4 years’ experience in an Accounts PayableAccounting/CPAqualified (preferred).Bigfour experience
