Summary of Position
The stock controller is responsible for making sure the company stock is safeguarded all the time, monitor transactions, entering accurate data into stock cards and other stock monitoring reports, checking discrepancies and presenting the findings
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory
Maintain Company stocks in sound and accurate state and all movements tracked and accurately documented as per laid down procedures. Ensure all stock movements are captured on the stock cardReconciliation of Feed Mill Delivery notes and GRVs of receiving departments to be done after every dispatchCorrectly account for reprocessed products, returns, rebagging and product change of form.Make sure that every raw material batch and finished good batch has a corresponding stock that that is reconciledProper filling and matching of Requisition form, proforma Invoice, Purchase order, Invoice GRV and weighbridge ticketReceiving of raw material in stock cards and Excel information as per the physical document and PO raisedConduct random inventory checks and ensure accuracy in inventory reportsMaintain up to date inventories of finished goods and raw materialsWork with Production leadership to review production costs on a weekly and monthly basisEnsure that the stock is reconciled on a daily basis and the necessary documentation are reconciled and updated real timeWork with the assistant cost accountant and make sure whatever deliveries , dispatches captured are forwarded to him on real time basisEnsure each stock has a corresponding stock card that matches to the actual stock
Reporting
Report all Closing balances to the assistant cost accountant on the daily basisProduce daily, weekly and monthly inventory reconciliation reports for raw material and finished good
External Stakeholder Management
Support in providing information to external auditors during annual audits
Other tasks
Support Inventory and cost accountant during month end reportingMake sure all Stock cards for raw materials and Finished goods are up to dateCarry out any other activities as assigned from time to time
Skills and Experience
BBA Finance ,BSC Accounting and other related fieldA team player with leadership abilities and management skills.Experience in Stock Management is added valueExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills.Be a person of integrity.Have analytical and excellent organizational skills.Attention to detail and high level of accuracyCultural awareness and sensitivity
Language Proficiency
Fluency in written and spoken English and Kinyarwanda.
Functional competencies
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to identify issues, analyze and participate in the resolution of issues/problems. Ability to conduct data collection using various methods.Excellent analytical skills for the review and assessments of sites situationsComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), database applications, spreadsheet and graphics presentationsTakes responsibility for incorporating gender perspectives and ensuring the equal participation of women and men in all areas of work.
